Bringing things into broad public awareness
A few examples to look at:
HISTORY OF AGENCY
It is timely when so much is being done to undermine the agency (Power to change) of ordinary people that we remind ourselves of how we acquired that agency in the first place. By the work of others before us
ECOLOGY
If our city is to flourish maybe it needs to look to the ecological Glasgow and what its moniker of “Dear Green Place” The cities ecology should be at the top of the list, in terms of living standards and rampant gentrification. (colonisation)
PROPAGANDA
Many ordinary people tend to blame each other for the breakdown in community life, while ignoring the massive propaganda that is designed to do just that.
CRITICAL CONNECTIONS
In looking at a multiplicity of events happening over time and how they eventual relate to each other.
THE CONTROL GAME
Looking at what make it near impossible for people to be involved. The typical control tactics that are set up by the establishment, so that it’s difficult and inconvenient for the public to get to meetings and so on.
FEAR GAME
When fear plays a greater part than hope, it stimulates herd instinct, and tends to produce ferocity toward those who are not regarded as members of the herd. Conquering fear is a big part of doing anything. So look at, what are the real things we need to fear?
POLITICS
Means how groups of people get together to discuss ideas, come to agreements for actions and activities and carry them out together.
PARTY POLITICS
Is when masses of people swear their allegiance to, a leader, and some kind of informative agenda, usually regret it ,then continue to do the same thing, over and over, thinking something different will happen.
FORMING AN ARGUMENT
If we can not articulate our problems, how do we collectively form strategies and a vision of where we are going? The biggest fear of the power holders is, when they know, we know, what we are talking about.
INTERNATIONALISM
By help to build knowledge, analysis and the critical connections and routes to solidarity that will be needed in meeting the challenges, even globally, that far extend our city’s boundaries.
